Prepare yourself for a journey you will never forget! Egypt and its ancient monuments seem to hold a compelling attraction for so many people. Those who have been before rave about it and, once you’ve been too, you’ll know why. We hope we have created a dream itinerary, combining the ancient wonders with some relaxing time in splendid hotels and on the cruise ship. You’ll also get to visit the brand new and stunning Egyptian Museum in Cairo. (We had a preview at the World Travel Market in November 2025 and we were amazed).

Flight times seem to be excellent, so long as Egyptair don’t change the schedule, meaning no ridiculously early starts from Dublin and no late arrivals home. We will warn you, however; the excursions from the ship sometimes start before dawn, to avoid the heat of the day and to give you the maximum enjoyment. You can catch up with a few zzzz’s on the sundeck in the afternoon!

All of the excursions from the cruise ship are led by experienced and qualified Egyptologists, so you can rest assurred you will be well educated!

Brief Itinerary

13 Jan 2027 – Fly from Dublin, via Cairo to Luxor. 

                           Check in to 5* Hotel for 3 nights – Half Board

14 Jan 2027 – Day to relax. Possibly visit the famous Luxor Souk

15 Jan 2027 - Guided tour to

16 Jan 2027 - Morning free to relax by the pool. Late afternoon, transfer to our ship

17 Jan 2027 – 21 Jan 2027 Cruise the Nile

                           You will visit, amongst other places: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple

                           Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Kom Ombo, Philae Temple, Aswan High Dam

                           Ports will include: Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan

                           Full board accommodation on ship, with expert Egyptologist guides

21 Jan 2027    Arrive in Aswan and visit the Aswan High Dam

                           Transfer from ship to 5* Hotel – Half Board

                           Option to take excursion to Abu Simbel (not included in cost)

22 Jan 2027    Fly to Cairo – Probably an evening flight

                           3 nights in luxury 5* hotel in central Cairo – Half board

23 Jan 2027    Full day excursion to Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx

24 Jan 2027    Half-day visit to brand new Egyptian Museum

                           Possible visit to Citadel

                           Free time in the city
