Picture Perfect
A perfect mirror reflects snow-capped peaks, glistening in the sunshine. A lone duck makes its way across the lake, opening it like a zipper.
This has become one of our most popular tours in recent years and we are sure the programme we are offering in 2026 will be well received and exciting. It’sonly marginally more expensive than 2025 but with an extra night. Norway, regarded by many seasoned travellers, is one of the world’s most beautiful countries. It is spotlessly clean; the transport is efficient, on time and reasonably priced; the country has a wealth of stunning beauty from waterfalls to lakes, fjords to rivers, mountains to quaint villages; it is also extremely safe….and the food is tremendous!
We have attempted to avoid early starts, where possible. Our proposed tour will highlight the southern fjords and mountains, starting with a short overnight stay in Oslo before travelling by the gorgeous Bergensbanen railway from Oslo to Bergen, passing over viaducts and through tunnels, over mountains perhaps still snowy and along rivers, culminating in the beautiful Fjordland. We have a host of things for you to do and see in Bergen, Norway’s second but probably most beautiful city. There’s a full-day cruise and rail journey to Flam, through the fjords and back over the mountains. You’ll need plenty of memory in your camera! We’ll travel onward by cruise-ferry to the oil capital, Stavanger, where the locals seem to enjoying partying in a city full of life. We have another lovely train journey back to Oslo, where we have a couple of days to enjoy this lovely city.
We have tried to keep the number of hotel changes to a minimum. Journeys, however, should all be great fun and enjoyable, speaking from our past experiences. We have included breakfast every morning and evening meals on seven evenings, allowing you to experiment with Norway’s wondrous cuisine on two occasions.

Norway
It’s a large country, stretching over 1500 miles, North to South. Yet it only has a population of less than 6 million, about the same as Ireland. We would love to show you all of the country but it would take weeks and loads of your money.
So, we have condensed it and put together a programme that includes flights, ferries and trains, highlighting the beauty of this mysterious land. Leaving from Bergen, we’ll travel through some of Norway’s most beautiful countryside en-route to Bodo, tucked within the Arctic Circle. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, Bergen has the ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urban life all year around. Bodo, on the other hand is a small, quiet city where, despite its northerly latitude, the locals enjoy socialising in the open air. Picture yourself at 11.30pm, sipping a glass of wine or enjoying a beer, and the sun hasn't even sunk yet! Amazing!
We then fly down to Oslo for a couple of nights, with enough time to explore and enjoy this very welcoming city. Two nights may not be long enough, so you might just have to come back again!
