Ryanair luggage allowance - As of 01 April 2022

Ryanair Baggage Allowances - From 01 April 2022

Basically, with Ryanair, you pay extra for (almost) everything. As far as baggage is concerned, all you get "free" is one small under-seat bag, measuring just  40 x 25 x 20 cms. It has no weight restriction but it must fit under your seat and cannot go in the overhead locker, unless you are in an emergency exit seat.

To take a small case weighing less than 10kgs and measuring less than 55 x 40 x 20 cms, you have to pay a fee, ranging from approx £20 per bag, per flight. For the same fee, you can actually check that bag in.

On our Marrakech holiday, we have included the small under-seat bag and a 10kg checked bag.

If you wish to check in a larger case, you may do so. You can either upgrade from the 10kg case for about £25 return or book it as well as the 10kg bag for about £80 return.

If you arrive with any form of excess baggage, you WILL be charged for it, at twice the normal rate. So, if you think you are going to be over your allowance, prepay for a larger bag or face a hefty fee at the airport.
